The documentary Kiruna - A Beautiful New World was made as a feature debut by Czech-Swedish director Greta Stocklassa. The film from 2019 takes viewers to a Swedish city beyond the Arctic Circle, which was built on a huge reservoir of iron ore and which gradually began to decline as a result of mining activities. The city council, together with the mining company, therefore decided to move the city, including its population, by three kilometers.
