What would we all do if we could beat the passing of time? On 22 June 2017 at 4 p.m., the clock actually stopped for a whole 30 hours at Václav Havel Square. The place had been turned into an inhabited room with invisible walls, where everything flowed slower than in reality. The premiere of the performance entitled Momentum, inspired by the Japanese dance art butó, offered a reflection on everyday bustling life. Passers-by could get involved, slow down their pace, tune into the same rhythm, or just watch, meditate, let time go past, as well as watch the slowly unfolding story. Momentum presented the Czech-German collaboration of two leading dance theatre choreographers and performers – Miřenka Čechová and Sabine Seume – in an extreme physical challenge. The artist Jakub Tauš and the musicians Matouš Hekela and Martin Tvrdý also participated in the project.
