PASTA ONER: THE GILDED AGE EXHIBITION AT THE REGIONAL GALLERY LIBEREC 2023

Multimedia artist Pasta Oner is one of the most prominent figures of contemporary Czech visual art. His work systematically reflects contemporary pop culture society, transcending the traditional genre categories of pop art and cartoon aesthetics. For the Regional Gallery Liberec he prepared the exhibition The Gilded Age in 2023, which paid tribute to the so-called golden age of the second half of the last century. He also drew attention to contemporary society teetering on the edge of global crises and questioning its prosperity. Pasta Oner portrayed the "Gilded Age" in Liberec through thirty paintings and dozens of objects, which he assembled into a site-specific installation in the form of a post-apocalyptic landscape.
