The documentary My Unknown Soldier tells of the events of the August invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968 from the perspective of an invader, an unknown private in the title role. The documentary brings a view of this historical milestone of our history through an unconventional point of view and offers new possibilities of how to look at the occupation in 1968. Anna Kryvenko's directorial debut consists of predominantly unpublished archive footage from across Europe and Russia, and is told by one of the invaders, or more precisely by his great-niece – the director of the film.
